Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, is already generating buzz with a leaked specification sheet suggesting significant upgrades across display, performance, camera, and charging technology.
Expected Specifications
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to feature a 6.9-inch M14 QHD+ CoE Dynamic AMOLED display, along with a new privacy screen feature for enhanced on-screen security. Powering the device could be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, paired with a larger vapor chamber cooling system to improve thermal performance during heavy usage.
On the camera front, Samsung may introduce a powerful quad-camera setup, headlined by a 200MP f/1.4 primary sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto (f/2.9), and a 12MP 3x telephoto camera.
The device is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. Memory and storage options could go up to 16GB RAM with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants, alongside claims of 25% faster RAM data transfer speeds. Despite the flagship hardware, the phone is rumored to maintain a slim 7.9mm profile.
The expected starting price is reported to be around $1,299.
Launch Timeline: February Reveal, March Availability?
According to reports, Samsung is likely to unveil the Galaxy S26 Ultra at a Galaxy Unpacked event in February 2026, but the commercial release may be pushed to March 2026.
This would align with Samsung’s historical launch pattern. While recent models like the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 were both announced and released in February, earlier flagships such as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S20 were unveiled in February but became available in March.
If the reports hold true, Samsung appears to be returning to a familiar release strategy—keeping the global spotlight in February, while rolling out retail availability shortly afterward.
More details are expected to emerge as the Galaxy Unpacked event approaches.
